Monmouth County Park System
Camp Counselor – Coastal Water Camps (Bayshore Waterfront Park, Port Monmouth and Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park, Long Branch) $14.75 M-F 830am-330pm
The Monmouth County Park System is seeking a fun, outdoor instructor for a variety of coastal camps. The summer staff must have an interest in working outside with children and teens from grades 4 through 12. Day camps are a 5-day enrichment program where kids enjoy a traditional camp experience during the day and are home each night, except for occasional evening activities. The team of naturalists/counselors work together to bring a sense of belonging, stewardship, and adventure to participants and their families.
Requirements
Must be willing to be a part of a team, and work with children and marine life. Candidate should be creative, reliable, flexible, patient, and enthusiastic, with strong oral and written communication skills. Experience working in an informal or formal education setting or coursework in science education is preferred, but not necessary.

Director of Volunteer Service (Long Branch)
Strategically manage the day-to-day operations of the agency’s volunteer-based community outreach programs: Reading Buddies, Telefriends, SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program), OARS (Outreach, Awareness and Resources for Seniors) In-Home Recreation.
Responsibilities
-
Hire, train and evaluate appropriate staff in compliance with established Policies and Procedures.

Plan and oversee recruitment, enrollment, orientation, and placement of volunteers.

Manage and maintain current and accurate personnel, project, and volunteer records for each program.

Design and implement volunteer recruitment and training plans.

Research and write grants applications.

Develop and implement systems to track progress and regularly evaluate program components to effectively communicate to the board, funders, and other constituents.

Maintain knowledge of pertinent federal and state legislation affecting the program, and appropriate data regarding programs and services available to the geriatric population.

Recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve strategic goals.

Develop and maintain accurate budgets to insure fiscal responsibility and grant compliance.

Assure maintenance of statistical data and submission of same in a timely manner to funding sources.

Support agency-wide events, activities, and appeals by providing directions, ideas and input in fundraising and communications plans.

Actively promote and market volunteer programs and services in the community.

Represent the agency at public events and in the media.
Qualifications

Must have at least three years managerial experience.

Must learn governmental funding requirements and regulations.

Ability to develop and monitor budget.

The Representative Payee Specialist is responsible for providing daily administrative support for the program through client phone contact and problem solving. Oversees and provides reports on client balances monthly to ensure those SSI clients do not exceed the Social Security limitations. Performs all duties in accordance with the FCS values and Code of Conduct and Federal Program guidelines. A Specialist is comfortable with a high volume of phone calls, emails and with multitasking.
